classes in figure drawing, in design, in art history, have only made me an elitist. my art has improved a bit, but my mentality is nasty when i see some of the stuff on deviantart that gets praised to a sickening extent. specifically, paintings/drawings. the textures may be beautiful, but that body shouldnt exist. at least, not exist with that head. is it because it's fanart, that viewers think it's okay to ignore basic anatomy? oh hell. i would LOVE to hear the excuses.

I recently got AI and I'm hoping to submit some vector art soon, but I still haven't gotten the hang of all the tools yet. I do one thing, and then try to do the same action again on another part of the image, but the results aren't the same. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? AI frustrated me so much yesterday that I decided to take a break from it. I started following a couple vector-focused Tweeters and maybe I'll find a good tutorial somewhere...

Haven't drawn much of anything since coming home for the summer, but i will be! I've been getting together cosplay things whenever I'm home and spending time with friends and blahblahblah but I DO have a few ideas for more artwork. I'll be around after Animenext (june 12-14).
